Adventures of Motherhood

I am a harried mother of three kids who move at light speed and a husband who lives in a world of words. If that isn't enough, I teach in an elementary school as I slowly watch my hair turn gray.

Happy 13th Birthday Dahlia!

Our sweet monkey-girl turns 13 today. I can hardly believe that the little 5lbs 15oz baby is grown into this beautiful grown woman. The thing about Dahlia is she is truly beautiful inside and out. Sure she has her moments (Think.... "All About Eve"!) but who doesn't. She'll do anything for anyone.

We went out for breakfast. We did our annual birthday pedicures (Someone in our family, who shall remain nameless, is turning one year older tomorrow) went out coffee with Bubby (Grandmother in Yiddish) Miriam and have many more birthday surprises for the day ahead.

I know this year has many exciting things ahead; Bat Mitzvah, officially becoming a teenager, graduation, etc. Dahlia I wish only good health, happiness and all that you are dreaming of for this coming year and always!

Love you Monkey-girl!

How blessed you are to have her! And it's looking like she had a great birthday!! I hope you will be posting the upcoming bat mitzvah, I would love to see some of it. I come by way of Carmi, and left a comment on your last post very late, you may not have seen it.

Yes I know what you mean about your baby being a gift! I don't recall many birthday gifts through the years, except the important ones, first at 9 years old my play baby doll and second my only daughter, Cierra when I was 30! Children/animals/oh yes and hubby are truly gifts ...and just in case my boys read this...you were both gifts too! Love your story about Dahlia, a pretty name too!
