19 Years and counting ...
Carmi and I are celebrating our 19th anniversary today. We have been together for 27 years!! I can hardly believe that 19 years have passed. Where has all the time gone? Three moves, a new province, three beautiful children, a cat , a dog, career changes.... wow look at all we have accomplished!
Carmi is on his way to NJ as we speak... had some business meetings that he couldn't get out of. So tonight I will take the injured Dahlia (a soccer story for another time) to soccer practice and then take the kids out for ice cream. Safe travels Carmi and we'll celebrate when you get home!

I'm sitting in a service plaza - Fort Byron, if anyone's nearby and wants to say hi - on the New York State Thruway and thanks to the generosity of some unseen strangers, I was just able to call you over Wi-Fi and hear your voice 19 years to the minute after our wedding ceremony began.
It isn't anywhere near as good as being with you, of course, but for now it'll have to do.
Until I get home, I'll think of all that we've built, and all the fun we've had along the way. It's been an incredible ride so far. Here's to 19 more. And another 19, and...
Love you, sweets!

After reading Carmi's post and now his comment here, I feel like I intruded in something private and so romantic... Carmi has thanked u for putting up w/him for 19 years... lol, well, did he ever think that maybe you were the smart one? The one who saw beneath his human quirks that I think we all have/had in our spouses?I (kiddingly) have to say that you have played your cards right.. both of you know the secret to marriage which is to give and take, keep your sense of humor and also be able to see the other one's side of things... I know I did.. Its just too bad that he was taken before we could come full circle- since our kids were getting into college and going out on their own...
Congratulations to you both! I left Carmi a comment already, but I told him that wonderful marriages don't find their foundation in spectacular anniversary celebrations. They're built in the moments and events and struggles that you've journeyed through together. I'm sure you'll have a lovely time together on a nice evening out when he's back. In the meantime, I'm truly very happy for you both and look forward to many more terrific years for you.
PS - My husband & I will celebrate our 25th anniversary next month. Our first anniversary? He was 1,200 miles away in CA with my parents and I was in CO with my sister. There was no negative outcome. ;-) Blessings to you both!
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!
Thank you for all your wonderful wishes.
Come home safely, Carmi!
Happy Anniversary! Carmi is a very lucky man to have you and the beautiful family life you have built together. Wishing you and your family a lifetime of happiness. Hope you get to have a special anniversary celebration when he returns home.
All the best to you both - and to your lovely children. A good marriage is to be cherished and nurtured - which is obviously what you do for each other.
I left a comment for Carmi - but, wanted let you know that I am most happy for you...
I think you both "have done it right" - and have a wonderful marriage and life...
May you have many, many more years to celebrate...
