Adventures of Motherhood

I am a harried mother of three kids who move at light speed and a husband who lives in a world of words. If that isn't enough, I teach in an elementary school as I slowly watch my hair turn gray.

I know I've been away...

I know I've been away for a long time, I felt I needed a little break. The pressures of life were getting me down and I didn't feel like sharing the gloom. I know I'm not the only one, but between work, family, housekeeping, and the worry of other family's health issues, I have to admit I have been feeling quite blue. On top of it all, I walked all summer for approx. 1 hour, 3-4 times a week. I didn't lose very much weight and that depressed me even more. So I stopped walking on top of it. That didn't help either! I have a treadmill at home and I am trying really hard to do it every day. I'm not really motivated, but I am trying none the less.

I am happy to report that the family health issues I was worrying about seemed to be on the up swing. So we're taking a little sigh of relief.

We weren't sure if we were going to be able to go to Florida this winter due to health issues and because my parent's house was damaged during Hurricane Wilma. My parents have found a place to stay and have told us to pack our bags and come along. So were are on the count down to when we leave. I hope this will motivate me to do that treadmill and watch what I eat...I have to get into a bathing suit...Let me tell you not a pretty sight.

Anyway, enough rambling for one entry. I'm glad to be back. I can't promise how often I will write, but I will keep trying, so don't lose hope on me.

Thanks for dropping by!

Health issues are always a huge worry for everyone concerned. I am pleased it's sorted out for you.

I am in the same boat weight-wise- there is nothing more soul destroying than putting in your best efforts to no avail. Don't worry about what you look like in your swimmers and enjoy the good weather in Florida, it'll be a stark contrast to Canada's I'm sure!

They say the slower you lost the weight, the better. Also that you are more inclined to keep it off, if you lose it slowly...don't lose hope!!!

Have fun on vaca...hope the weather is beautiful!
