Adventures of Motherhood

I am a harried mother of three kids who move at light speed and a husband who lives in a world of words. If that isn't enough, I teach in an elementary school as I slowly watch my hair turn gray.

2 years ago a little furry man came into our lives!

I can hardly believe that it has been 2 years now since a furry little man came into our lives. It's amazing how he has changed. I wrote about him when I first got him. It was really sad. He was so dirty that we thought he was black instead of silver. I don't think he was ever at a groomer before and now he goes monthly. He didn't know what it meant to "go outside", now he sits and the door and tells us in his endearing way to hurry up and let's go.

He has completed this family. I can't imagine life without him. He's noisy, smelly, messy, cuddly, sweet and loveable and fits just perfectly into this house. Yes, he was lucky to find us, but I think we are even more lucky to find him. The kids have learned responsibility, and care. They have felt empathy and joy. There is nothing like a cuddly puppy curled into your side when you aren't feeling well. That special greeting that you get is the same whether you're gone all day or just 5 minutes.

Yes, we are the lucky ones!

Happy welcome-home anniversary Frasier! We love you!

I just love having him. There's something about a dog that makes me want to smile. He has such a good heart that even when we're having the toughest day imaginable, it's hard to look at him and not feel at least the smallest twinge of happiness.

I'd like to think that he makes us better people, and a stronger family. And considering how he seems to hog your side of the bed most often, he clearly loves you best.
