I love my kids!
I love my kids (my hubby, too)! This morning we were providing the breakfast for the Shiva after morning services. We were out of the house by 7 this morning. (Later than we wanted, but that is a story for another time.) Our kids had to get up on their own, get dressed and washed, have breakfast and even pack their lunches.
When we got home at 8:45, Zach had already left and Dahlia and Noah had their coats on waiting for us. "There was no fighting Mommy". They did everything we asked and more.
It would be nice if they were like this every morning, but when we really need them to do what's expected, they really come through for us. I guess Carmi and I are doing something right.
I am having difficulty dealing with this loss, but having three such wonderful, kind and loving children really helps. Mommy is very proud of you.
I hope you have a happy Tuesday!

My children are the same age as yours, except for my oldest -- he was bar mitzvahed just this past June. Every morning is filled with tired children who bicker and try to prod each other along; I'm sure the scene is similar in the Levy household.
But with you and Carmi delivering the shiva meal this a.m., the kids probably sensed the responsibility bestowed upon them to get ready and help each other along.
Kol haKavod to them for doing it so well.
I've also found that our kids can leave us pleasantly pleased many times.
children remind us about what is pure, innocent and lovely in this world.......
