Adventures of Motherhood

I am a harried mother of three kids who move at light speed and a husband who lives in a world of words. If that isn't enough, I teach in an elementary school as I slowly watch my hair turn gray.

A Proud Momma

I'm a proud Mommy and I have to share. School is out and 3 wonderful report cards came home.
Dahlia and Noah did a beautiful job during their Promotion Night. They sang and danced beautifully and with a lot of excitement were promoted to the next grade. I can hardly believe my baby will be going to grade 3.

As some of you know, Noah was in my class this year. After he was promoted he told me he didn't want to go to grade 3, but wanted to stay in grade 2 with me. I know that is so sweet, but I think we are both more than ready for him to move on. I think he will work much harder for the next teacher. I often say, that Noah is so lucky he is so cute. He really makes me smile!

Dahlia is turning into a beautiful young lady and will be going into grade 6! She did extremely well in school this year and I couldn't be prouder. It fills me with such pride to see how kind she is as well. She is truly beautiful on the inside and out.

Zach, my taller than me 13 year old just graduated this week from elementary school. I was so proud to see him walk across the stage. He looked so grown up in his suit and tie. He had an amazing time at the dance afterwards and just couldn't stop talking with excitement. At the last minute his grad party for the next afternoon was canceled, so 6 boys came to us for lunch and an afternoon of fun. My goodness, teenage boys can eat a lot!! They went through 4 large pizzas like that!

I can't believe my first baby is going to high school next year. 13 is such an awkward age. He is not a baby, but he's not grown up just yet. Well in his eyes he is a grownup, but the rest of us know he is not!

As a graduation present we signed him up for guitar lessons. You have never seen such a happy young man, as this young man after his first lesson yesterday. Right now we are renting an electric guitar and we will buy one at the end of the Summer if he still likes the lessons. Yes I did say electric....that's what was recommended at the music school. Yeah, I think I am nuts, too. He is so thrilled..the rest of us not so thrilled of listening to it all day! :-)

I have to admit what he is doing does sound good, but it is loud!!

As for Mommy (me!) I am looking forward to camp starting on Monday and having a little down time for myself.

I hope whatever you are doing this weekend that it is fun!
